Have you ever met someone and all of sudden you feel like to talk to them?

This is my highlight of the week. Bach and I stopped at Hungry Jacks for a supper after work. The topic for that night was about future, after graduate life and settling down in Australia. Bach concerned about his future plan, and being under a hectic week with tests made him be even worse.

An old man passed by and he was playing with his ball. The story was all started with the ball, which was bounced over to us. Bach then picked it up and brought back to him. I awkwardly asked him

“where have you just been?”

and was looking at his cap with the words “The Doctors” on it, another question popped up

“are you a doctor?”

The old man did not hesitate to response to such my lame questions. Then he welcomed his 2 new friends by asking what are we doing.

Our night have been enlightened by uplifting stories from that man. He told us about his son, who successfully got into med school in Fremantle after having 2 attempts, how he got over with his back injury and how amazing it was when he met his old friend after 30 years being disconnected.

I saw on Bach’s face at the moment, he felt motivated. He kept holding that man’s hands and said thank you for making him feel better. He learnt how to catch his future, followed his goal since then. Kindness overload was at the max when he gave us his contact and invited us for a brunch this weekend. He wants us to show him our CVs.

This is my first time that I get such a great opportunity. I know it would be more important for Bach as it is just so the right time when facing many uncertain choices.

Beautiful things still happen in life 🙂
